Travel to Thailand
He landed in Phuket, where, as usual, the sun fries and the locals smile. Phuket is for the most part mountainous, so a trip along the roads is pretty rocking. On top of everything else, during the days of my arrival, repairs were underway, which greatly complicated the already difficult traffic along the Phuket routes.
Despite the mountainous, repaired roads, I arrived at the hotel before checking in, but the good-natured Thais temporarily provided a different number so that I could swim and change clothes. After all the procedures, I went out in search of the beach and … got lost. He left in the opposite direction from the sea. As it turned out, it was necessary to go to the sea along a long high wall, this was explained to me by a local resident who, in broken Thai-English, was able to explain where to go. By the way, you get used to the peculiar accent of Thais within a couple of days, and initially it is extremely difficult to understand, even if you have not bad knowledge of English, what does this ever-smiling local resident want to tell you about.
Having done this exhausting journey through the heat in search of the sea, I still found it! The transparency of water does not compare with any Russian resort, but what landscapes, a sight for sore eyes! Having plenty of swimming and sunbathing under the scorching sun of Thailand, I felt a hungry call of the stomach. I have to say right away that in order to find catering establishments, I had to go around quite a few local eateries to my taste, but to my surprise, I found decent food and an appropriate atmosphere in my hotel. The hotel in which I was relaxing had only 3 stars, but in terms of the level of service, I would not say that! In addition to the restaurant inside the hotel, there was a cafe located right by the pool. Food in this cafe was delivered from the restaurant, so there was no need to complain about food. The main thing I would like to warn about is the spiciness of food, if you do not want to drink a liter of water after one spoon of extremely sharp noodles, then you should tell the cook in advance about your preferences, otherwise after one such tomorrow turn into the Gorynych Snake for the rest of the day.
My tour package included an excursion, which included a visit to the fruit market, where you can taste all the offered fruits for free; temple; a jewelry and latex factory, as well as a snake farm with an exciting show with snakes! On the tour and from the tour took the bus.
In addition to the excursion, which is included in the price of the trip, I also decided to fork out for a separate excursion, which I had read about in various forums about Thailand before departure. The excursion that I chose included such attractions of Thailand as Khao Lok National Park, the island on which the famous film “Beach” was shot with Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role and James Bond Island. But first things first.
The first in line was a visit to James Bond Island. I sailed to the island in a two-story boat, on which drinks and fruits were distributed free of charge. Due to the convenient location of the seats, a beautiful view of the local nature was opened from everywhere. As it turned out, there were several islands, everywhere they were allowed to take pictures and did not rush anywhere, which was very pleasant. Bond Island itself was very small. After all the tourists took plenty of pictures of all the beauty surrounding them, we were taken back to our bunk ship.
At first I thought that the next stop would be on the island where the film “The Beach” was shot, but it wasn’t there, before him all the travelers were separated by two more islands, on which we landed and took pictures together. By the way, until the last island of this excursion, an independent canoe crossing was provided under the program. This caused a storm of emotions in me, I really got tired of measured and monotonous movement, I wanted to stretch limbs that had stiffened during the tour. At the end of this excursion we were brought back to Phuket, from where we immediately started off to the “Beach” island. Most of all I was surprised … no, I did not find a really existing downshift sect here, I was surprised by the number of people! Really had to push around, it’s a very popular place for tourists. If we discard the crowds of tourists scurrying and photographing everything in their path, we liked the island, especially its beach with sand of floury consistency and water of an unusually beautiful turquoise color. After walking along the sand along which Leonardo DiCaprio himself walked, we were taken to another island for food. The island called the Egg (translated into Russian) had two distinctive features – this is the tiny size and coral nature of its being. Despite the miniature of the island, its entire center is packed with all kinds of cafes and bars.
